iPad addict

Before, i don't understand the ipad. I find it too big and bulky for reading books, surfing the net, and all the stuff it promotes to do. I do all these things using my iphone and i'm satisfied with it, not to mention its a lot smaller and easier to carry.

Well i'm obviously eating these words right now. Last christmas, hubbytot gifted me with an ipad for my birthday and its an understatement to say that i'm hooked/addicted to it. For a lazy person like me who finds booting up the laptop so much of an effort, ipad's easy access and no boot up function is loads better. It also doesn't hurt that i can use it to do almost everything i use the laptop for, namely: check emails, check facebook, read ebooks, surf the net, and now, blogging.

Yes i can still do all these things in my iphone but the ipad's waaay bigger, thereby its more comfortable to read ebooks, etc.

Not to mention that i can read my ebooks on it even while hubbytot's asleep.

The Jane Austen Book Club

So its been quite some time sine i last posted he. And a lot has happened since then. And i mean A LOT.

Anyway, just to update, Last saturday saw the first ever meeting of our jane austen book club. Held at starbucks at the edsa shangri-la mall, there was supposed to be more of us but only three eventually made it: me, ria and coni: another fluff and an old english blockmate. First novel was northanger abbey, jane's first novel.

Well, we didn't like it. And while we started the discussion with northanger abbey, it eventually gave way to our favorite austen books, namely: sense and sensibility, pride and prejudice, and persuasion - all of which we discussed in great detail, considering both novel and movie versions. We decided that northanger abbey was too "hilaw" and too naive for our taste. The upside of the meeting was the schedule of the next books were also decided. Up next is another hated novel, emma, then mansfield park, then sense and sensibility, pride and prejudice and persuasion. You can say that we saved our favorites for last.

Hopefully i can make it to the meetings, considering that i work mostly during the weekends now.
